It looks like orange is heading our way!

I'm excited to say that we are anticipating adding a pedigreed orange Mini Lop doe to our rabbitry in March!
We have made arrangements with the same sweet breeder we got Spirit's Thor from and will be going to see her in a couple weeks!

The Boys

A couple recent photos of our boys at the rabbitry.

This is Spirit's Thor aka Hawthorne.  He is the poppa to most of our litters.  He's a big boy, at the upper end of the range for Mini Lops.  He has good overall type, a great head, AND he is so sweet and well behaved. He has multiple Grand Champions in his lines.
My daughter got this photo of him stretched out relaxing after he'd been active for awhile in the play fence.

Pedigreed Chestnut Sr. Buck

Here is a recent photo of Whitehaven's Simon enjoying his first walk a week ago.
He is out of Spirit's Thor (above) and Bauer's Fullhouse (aka Miss Maggie).
He is a handsome rabbit and oh so sweet, like his parents!
We look forward to him fathering some litters in the future!

She can go to her new home now.  Her price has been reduced to $40 and she comes with a full pedigree certificate.
She is healthy & quite friendly.  She was the runt of the litter, so a little small at the moment but we've been weighing her often and she's putting on weight very well.

Mini Lops bonding with other pets

I wanted to share these great photos of Whitehaven's Linden, nicknamed "Henry" by his owners.  Thanks to the Morey family for sharing these adorable photos with us!  As you can see, it is possible for Miniature Lops to get along well with other household pets.  Always use great caution when introducing rabbits to other animals. Not all dogs and cats will get along with rabbits, but as you can see everyone seems to get along well in this household.

How to house train your rabbit

I recently sought tips from our customers on how they house trained their rabbit.  I was so pleased to get this very thorough response from Emily Scherer who purchased Whitehaven's Fern from us!
Click here or go to the tab labeled "How to House Train" at the top of our home page for her very helpful advice!  Thank you Emily!

House training your rabbit!

I'm requesting some customer feedback on the topic of house training/litter box training your rabbit.
I'd love to hear any tips you'd be willing to share!
How did you go about it?  How long did it take, etc.? Any things to be careful of around the house?

Many of our customers want to allow their pet some freedom to hop about the house.  They often ask me a about how to go about this. Since our rabbits are kept in the rabbitry, and not inside our house, we aren't the best ones to answer that question.  If you'd like to share your experience in this area and would be alright with it being shared on our site, please email us!

I'd like to add a new area to our site on this topic with your tips!

Thank you!

Customer photos & updates!

It is always so fun for me when I receive an email from someone who purchased a rabbit from us in the past!
Most of the rabbits we sell leave our rabbitry at 8 weeks of age.  It's special to get an email months later with an update showing what that rabbit looks like now when it's full grown and to hear about the family's bond with their furry friend.  It makes my day to know the delight the rabbits are bringing their owners and to get to see how loved they are.

Thanks to all of you that send us an update and share photos with us and for your willingness to let me share on our site.  I greatly appreciate it!

I just added a couple of recent  updates I received:  Customer Photos & Updates.
If you'd like to share an update with us, please email us at: whitehavenwoodsrabbitry@gmail.com

Update on Whitehaven's Daisy

I am very sorry to say that unfortunately things have not gone well for Daisy's first kindling.  After a difficult time she finally was able to deliver one large kit that was dead upon arrival.  We do not know for sure if anymore will come, but I'm guessing this might have been it, since she seems to have returned to normal behavior.

I feel badly for her, as she worked so hard. We are also disappointed as we were excited for another litter and curious what variety of colors might come in her litter.
