Our current litter had fun in the play area this morning, getting lots of holding and petting from Carlie.
They are 3 1/2 weeks old out of Spirit's Scarlet & Whitehaven's Mango.

Mini Lop Kits eyes opening today!

This first little guy greeted me this morning eyes open!

11 days old today.

Spirit Scarlet's kits - Photos at one week

Spirit Scarlet's litter is 9 days old today.
These photos were taken over the weekend at one week.
It's early to be certain but it looks like possibly a buck and doe in each color.
The two orange/tort (not certain yet) look very much alike in color, the lighting was just different in the photos. In the first photo you can tell which of the blacks is the runt in the litter.  All 4 doing great though.

Photos - Newest Litter of Mini Lops!

Here are a couple photos of Spirit's Scarlet's litter.  There are 4 in the litter.  2 black and 2 orange (possibly tort).  They arrived very early Saturday morning.  They are 4 days old today and doing great.  She was bred to Whitehaven's Mango.

Happy Friday!

I just wanted to share a pretty photo taken today of Whitehaven's Mango.
He sat so nice for this photo.
He is a fawn colored Mini Lop.  He is 4 1/2 months old.
(He is not for sale.)

How big are Mini Lops & how fast do they grow? Photos!

Often times people come to our rabbitry and are surprised by the size of a Mini Lop.
Due to the word "Miniature" or "Mini" in their name people expect them to be dwarf in size.
Miniature Lops are not a dwarf rabbit.  They generally grow to a weight range of 4 1/2 - 7 pounds.
Our current adults are more towards the upper end of that weight range.

On a side note, Holland Lops (not being the same as Miniature Lops) are smaller lop rabbits, whereas English Lops and French Lops are larger than Mini Lops.

Mini Lops usually reach their adult size around 6- 8 months of age.
They grow very quickly during the first weeks of life.
