UPDATE:
Good news!
Below is the sad news that I shared a couple days ago, but the good news is it is very apparent that the three remaining kits are just fine. They are eating, growing, and hopping all about the cage with Mom. They look good. We are thankful! They are 3 weeks old today.

Sad news: (previously shared)
Unfortunately in the last couple days things did not go well with some of the kits in Violet's litter.
They were all growing great and very active then suddenly some of them started having some serious issues that we'd not encountered before. The only thing that was different than with all of our previous litters was the hay that we were feeding. From sharing the symptoms with others who raise rabbits it is agreed that it is likely that, unbeknownst to us, this particular hay had mold or some other contaminate. This would affect the sensitive young kits. It was right around the time that the kits were old enough to start eating the hay that the problems began arising. As soon as we realized the hay might be the cause, we immediately stopped giving it to all the rabbits. Needless to say, we will not buying hay from that seller again!
Sadly 2 of the 5 kits died in the last couple days. The three remaining seem to be doing well though!
One of each color remains: Chinchilla, Chestnut, & Black.
