She started pulling fur around 5:30 p.m. and when we returned at 8:30 p.m. the litter had arrived.
She had 6 healthy kits.  She was bred with Spirit's Thor.

Spirit's Scarlet's new litter!

We are happy to welcome two new bunnies today!   Spirit's Scarlet had a small litter arrive today.
She had 4 come early a few days ago that were unfortunately dead upon arrival.  We weren't sure if there were more to come or not.  So despite the small litter we are happy that she kindled two healthy kits this morning!

She kindled 11 kits!  Two were dead but 9 are alive!  That's a lot of bunnies - the largest litter we've ever had here.  My husband and I were glad to get to witness the whole kindling.

New Mini Lop Litter born!

Violets kits arrived!  A few minutes ago, between 10:20 - 10:45 a.m., Violet kindled 5 healthy kits!
This photo was taken literally right after they arrived.  Not the prettiest picture but they will be very cute in just a few days!  They all look the same color in this photo but they are not.  Three of them are Chestnut Agouti.

First photo of Lily & Hawthorne's liltter

This litter of 6 arrived yesterday afternoon.  We were in the rabbitry when they were born and this photo was taken right after they arrived.  They will look MUCH cuter in a few days! :)

cozy in their nestbox

We have fostered Maggie's one surviving kit to Lily.  She had 7 in her last litter so she will do just fine with this extra addition.  It's hard for one lone kit to stay warm in a nest box, so it is better off joining the other litter.

New litter arrived! Mini Lop Kit photos!

About an hour ago Violet kindled 7 healthy kits!  All are alive and well!
These photos were taken when they were minutes old.
I found Violet sprawled out relaxing with this wiggly nest of little ones behind her.
Great job Violet!

These kits will be 5 weeks old on December 23rd.  We will be taking reservation deposits at that time!  They cannot go to their new homes until they are 8 weeks old but can be reserved before Christmas!

If you would like to be on the wait list for this litter just email us at whitehavenwoodsrabbitry@gmail.com

Lily's litter arrived!

We are happy to announce that Lily (Wolfsong's B3a) kindled 7 healthy kits this evening!
We had been gone all day and thought they might arrive while we were gone.
However, she waited until we all got home and I got all the rabbit cages cleaned out before she started pulling fur.  She started pulling fur around 7:20 pm and they began arriving around 7:45 pm.
We were so glad for the whole family to get to be home and witness the process and arrival of the newest Mini Lops.

We got them out briefly, just after they all arrived, and took this photo.  At first glance it looks like she had 3 chestnuts, 1 broken, and 3 black (or possibly some steel).  All look healthy.

New litter of Mini Lops just arrived!

I woke up in the night around 2:00 a.m. and decided to go out to the rabbitry and see if Violet had started pulling fur.  Much to my delight she was resting calmly at the front of her cage with her nest box full of fur in the rear of the cage.

Looking closer I discovered 7 healthy kits already had arrived and were snuggled down inside!

Great job Violet! This is her largest litter so far.  This is Henry's first litter to sire.

New litter of Mini Lops arrived early this morning!

Maggie's litter finally arrived in the early morning hours today!  We are very thankful for 4 healthy, wiggly kits.

She actually delivered 6 kits.  The first one at around 3:00 a.m. Unfortunately it was small and dead upon arrival.  Just before 5:00 a.m. she had the other 5.  One of those 5 was much larger than the others and did not survive kindling.

Sweet Hawthorne (aka Spirit's Thor), was so cute to watch.  He kept peering over his feeder watching as Maggie kindled (delivered) their young.

Miss Maggie (Bauer's Fullhouse) getting her congratulatory petting! During labor this sweetheart would come over to her cage door for a pet of comfort whenever I came near.
Good Job Maggie! You are so sweet.

A Special Delivery!

In the night, at 2:15 a.m., a special delivery arrived!
Miss Magnolia (Bauer's Fullhouse) kindled 3 healthy, chunky kits!

We are thankful for this special answer to prayer. She is an older gal and we knew when we got this sweetie that we may only get one or two litters out of her due to her age.  Her last litter she went late and her kits were too big and it was a difficult delivery and none of the kits survived it.  We thought we'd try one more time.
I woke up in the night and went to check on her. When I arrived in the rabbitry she was sitting in the nest box.  Within a couple minutes I saw her first kit be born!  The other two followed shortly after.  This photo was taken within minutes after their arrival. She went late again pretty much to the hour of her last delivery, yet all were born without difficulty and are alive and well!

Litter Announcement!! They've safely arrived!

We are so excited to announce that Lily & Hawthorne (pedigree names WolfSongs B3A & Spirit's Thor) had their first litter safely arrive this morning!

Lily started pulling fur around 8:00 a.m. (pictures in previous post) and started delivering them around 9:00 a.m.  This is her first litter.  First litters can be small and it's not unusual for some to not make it.
Well, this girl seems to be an overachiever!
She had 6 and all are very alive and actively wiggling about so far!  We are excited and so thankful.

We do have a waiting list for this litter started.  If you would like to be put on the wait list and notified when we are taking reservation/deposits please email us at: whitehavenwoodsrabbitry@gmail.com

For more information on purchasing from us click on the image that says "How to Purchase" in the right side bar of the site.

Well, between 3:00 and 7:30 a.m. sometime she pulled fur and had her little ones!
Great job Violet!

Baby Bunnies!

Much excitement here today! Rosie AND Violet both had their first litters today!

We knew Rosie (our black Holland Lop) was pregnant and due but we had thought Violet had a false pregnancy. Violet surprised us today when I walked out to check on her and found her nest box full of fur and 5 little ones! This is a good number for her first litter. One did not make it but 4 are alive and seem to be doing well so far. Rosie followed later having 4 kits born. Though we were sad that 2 of hers were not alive 2 of them seem to be doing well. It is not unusual, especially in first litters, for not all the kits to make it. Sometimes only one does in a Holland's first litter, so we are thankful!

Above is proud Momma Violet above her nest box with 4 healthy kits.

Below are Rosie's two surviving kits (Lion-Lops) amidst all the fur she provided for them to keep warm
