What's new at Whitehaven Woods Rabbitry

Last night and today Spirit's Scarlet (our new pedigreed, solid black doe) has been busy haystaching!
This evening she is pulling fur and getting everything just how she wants it.  This makes it apparent that her February breeding (prior to our purchase) to Spirit's Finnick did take.  We anticipate her kits should arrive in the next couple days!  I will post updates!

Violet is getting ready! Mini Lop haystaching video

Violet is not due until next Friday but she likes to get ready for her young early!
This morning she began the preparations.

Haystaching! Another litter of Mini Lops should arrive in next 48 hours.

We are very happy to see Lily (WolfSong's B3A) getting her nest ready this morning!
My daughter Audrey got this great photo of her with her mouth full of hay.  My youngest daughter reached in to give her a petting and she plopped down to take a rest and enjoy the attention.

New kits are likely to arrive anytime between now and Sunday.
I'll  post an update when they arrive.
She was bred to Hawthorne (Spirit's Thor).  They had 6 in their last litter.

Haystaching! Count down begins!

I am very happy to say that Violet was haystaching tonight!  Her due date is Thursday and it appears she is getting ready.

She has hay carefully positioned in her nest box making a nice burrow.

She did not seem like she was as round as normal and I thought she must not have become pregnant.  I'm very pleased to see this behavior tonight!  She seems to be proving me wrong.

She was bred to Whitehaven's Henry.  This is the first time for him to sire a litter so we are anxious to see the outcome.

Miss Maggie (aka Bauer's Fullhouse) is getting her nest box ready!

She is due Friday.  I added the nest box and some extra hay in her cage today so she could start preparing whenever she was ready to.  Well, she got right to work!
